Wildland fire
& resilience
Wildland fire and fuels experience since 2017, with crew leadership, operational safety, instruction, and practical wildfire mitigation planning.
FIELDWORK / SERVICE / MOUNTAIN LIFE
I’m Reilly — a wildland fire professional, wilderness-trained EMT, and engineer by education. I’m interested in the work that demands good judgment, real skills, and a little grit.
01 / A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I’ve always been drawn to the places where practical skills, careful thinking, and the people beside you really matter.
My path began with engineering physics, then took me into years of wildland fire and fuels work — leading crews, teaching field skills, and making decisions in demanding environments. More recently, I’ve returned to emergency medicine, completing intensive Wilderness EMT training and working in patient care.
These interests might look different on paper, but to me they connect: stay curious, prepare well, and do meaningful work with good people.
More on my background02 / THE WORK
The experience I bring, and the directions I’m excited to keep exploring.
Wildland fire and fuels experience since 2017, with crew leadership, operational safety, instruction, and practical wildfire mitigation planning.
Nationally registered EMT with NOLS Wilderness EMT training, a current patient-care role, and a growing interest in field medical response.
Exploring ski patrol, search and rescue, outdoor education, and the kind of work that blends service with mountain travel and teamwork.
An engineering physics and computer science foundation, applied technical projects, FAA Part 107 UAS work, and ongoing graduate study.
WHAT KEEPS ME MOVING
“The best days tend to involve good people, hard work, and a long way from pavement.”A PERSPECTIVE SHAPED OUTSIDE
03 / EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
A foundation in science, years in the field, and a commitment to learning whatever the next challenge requires.
Wildland fire leadership · National Registry EMT · FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot · Engineering Physics B.S.
Operational fieldwork, crew supervision, incident qualifications, mitigation experience, and training in wildland fire leadership and technical skills.
Completed NOLS Wilderness EMT training and passed National Registry EMT certification. Building further experience in direct patient care.
Master of Science coursework at the University of Colorado Boulder, continuing an interest in computational and technical problem-solving.
Miami University, with a minor in Computer Science. A technical foundation that still informs my approach in the field.
COLORADO MOUNTAIN COMMUNITIES04 / A BUSINESS I BUILT
I founded Resilient West Wildfire Mitigation to help Colorado property owners understand their wildfire exposure and take practical steps forward.
Our focus is field-informed property assessments, clear documentation, and prioritized mitigation plans — turning years of fire and fuels experience into something useful for mountain homeowners.
Visit Resilient West A separate business, connected by the same field-first mindset.05 / BEYOND THE JOB TITLE
Backcountry skiing, long mountain days, trail running, and following ridgelines. A few frames from my own camera roll.
The outdoors isn’t just where I spend my free time. It’s where I feel most attentive, most curious, and most connected to what matters.
